Publish
Publishing is the process of deploying content developed in the Sandbox environment to the Prod environment after confirming that there are no issues in the Sandbox Application.
Tenant developers can reflect the Sandbox-implemented application on Prod without a separate deployment request through the Publish function. It is deployed to the Prod Application through Check-in and Deploy functions, similar to the App environment.
When publishing is carried out in the Sandbox Studio, the Deploy progress history can be checked in the Prod Studio's Revision List. In other words, Sandbox Publish is a function to deploy content developed in Sandbox to Prod.
- How to create
- After Deploy is completed, select Deploy > Publish from the menu at the top of CALS Studio.
- Select the Platform Type and then choose Publish. By selecting All in Platform Type, you can deploy both Web and Mobile to the Prod environment simultaneously.
- Check your history (Sandbox)
The success message notification of Publish does not mean the completion of Publish. You need to go to Deploy > History > Publish History menu to check the Publish history. During Publish, you cannot proceed with another Publish.
Publish history is categorized as Apply Requested, indicating it's in progress of Check-in and Deploy in Prod, and Apply completed successfully, indicating the completed requested Deploy.
- **Check your history (Prod)** Completion in Sandbox's Publish History is equivalent to the completion of Deploy in Prod.
Thus, in Prod, since there is no separate Deploy function, the time for Deploy in Sandbox is the time taken to Deploy in both Sandbox and Prod environments (if necessary, you can log in to the Studio in the Prod environment to check, but accessing the Prod environment's Studio is not recommended).
Just like checking Deploy History, in the operational environment, you can go to Deploy > History > Revision List menu to check the current Deploy history.
If you select All in Deploy Platform, you can confirm that simultaneous deployment to Web and Mobile is in progress as shown below:
